With a leading network of around 2,500 sites throughout Germany, Aral is number one in Europe’s largest retail fuels market; Aral also offers the ‘Aral CardPlus’ and ‘Aral CardTruck’ fuel cards. The company was established in Bochum in 1898 as a provider of quality fuels and lubricants and, in 1924, blended a combination of aromatics and aliphates to develop the world’s first ever ‘super grade’ fuel and give the company its “Aral” name. In 2002, Aral became the retail brand of bp in Germany.
